For the past 3 years Boningale has and continues to support 2 nominated local charities.
Throughout the year our team of staff help raise money through the charities own organised events and through their own personal sponsored challenges, which they like to get involved with in their spare time.
Boningale is proud to support:
The Mary Stevens Hospice who has been providing high-quality care for people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in Dudley borough and the surrounding area since 1991.
The hospice provides specialist care to those who are unlikely to be cured. This care is tailored to each individual patient and their loved ones, and is provided either at the 10-bed In-Patient Unit or the Day Therapies Clinic. Both are based in Hagley Road, Oldswinford, and offer modern facilities complemented by a warm, friendly and comforting environment.
Services are offered to adults aged 18 years and over with illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, advanced renal and cardiac disease, and HIV/AIDS.
Mary Stevens Hospice care is provided free of charge to all those who need it, and although the registered charity receives some funding from the Government, it relies on donations and fundraising from the local community to raise more than 80% of its £2.3 million annual running costs.
Compton Hospice who offer services including in-patient care, day care, home care nursing and hospice at home, medical outpatient care and home visits, social work support , physiotherapy, lymphoedema treatment, bereavement support, complementary therapies and spiritual support, all of which are available free-of-charge to a catchment area of 1.3 million people.
Their support can not only make real improvements to a patient’s quality of life, it is aimed at families as well, so they can make the most of their time together, have an input into the care of their loved one, and feel better prepared for the future.
