Boningale and Plant Market are very pleased to jointly announce that terms have been agreed under which Plant Market ltd will take a majority holding of Boningale Ltd in a deal to be completed before the end of May 2023.
This exciting new venture will mark the first time in which a major Dutch wholesale nursery-stock supplier has taken such a leading role within the UK horticulture market, which will significantly advance the range of stock immediately available to Boningale’ s customers as well as delivering significant improvements to logistics and service levels.
We believe this development represents a revolution in the service provided to Commercial Landscape Contractors, Garden Designers and Garden Contractors in the UK market.
The Plant Market Ltd business model presents its customers with a vast range of stock information from over 400 growers and while this model currently focuses predominantly on European nursery stock, it will now be extended to the UK production base and will act as a catalyst to expand UK production.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of May and, following completion, Plant Market will make significant additional investment in Boningale Ltd to both secure supplier relationships and to further production across Boningale’ s five UK production sites.
