BONINGALE NURSERIES TO SPRING OPEN ITS DOORS THIS MAY
The ‘Grower Direct’ events are the first time that the 39-acre nursery, which supplies leading landscape architects and contractors with tens of thousands of home-grown plants and shrubs every year, will open to the public during the height of the SpringSummer growing season.
This unique opportunity to buy at the beginning of the planting season means that growers will be able to pick up plants, shrubs and trees in a variety of sizes at discounted prices direct from one of the largest nurseries in the UK.
Visitors will also have the chance to choose from a select range of unusual varieties, including large specimens of Euonymus “Bravo”; hedging such as Griselinia littoralis (also known as New Zealand privet); framed climbers including Clematis mont “Superba”; and half standards such as Rhyncospermum Jasminoides (star jasmine).
Frank Sandford, Sales Director at Boningale Nurseries, said the ‘Grower Direct’ days are the perfect complement to its annual end-of-season sale day in September, when savvy gardeners flock to the nursery to pick up bargains for the following year.
“This is an exclusive opportunity for gardeners to purchase popular and more unusual varieties of plants, shrubs and trees at the height of the buying and growing season,” he said.
“Each Saturday, there will be a plentiful supply of stock to choose from, and because we sell at discounted prices, we know gardeners will find some very attractively priced specimens to enhance their gardens this year.”
The Boningale ‘Grower Direct’ events take place at Boningale Nurseries, Holyhead Road, Albrighton, Wolverhampton WV7 3AT, on Saturday, May 4, 11, 18 and 25. Doors open at 9am and close at 4pm on each of the days.
